But there’s more…
Once you have ChatGPT’s client communication analysis, ask it to help you draft a response that fits your client’s style to a particular email or message.
The follow-up prompt:
"Based on this client's communication style, write a message confirming their open house schedule and gently remind them to send details about the mother-in-law addition for the listing materials."
That’s where the magic happens. ChatGPT will prepare something like:
"Hi [Name], just confirming we're set for the open house on Sunday 1–4 p.m. When you get a minute, can you send over the specs on the mother-in-law addition? I'd like to highlight that in the marketing copy. Appreciate it!"
ChatGPT will deliver a focused message, but be tuned to your client's frequency.
Better yet…
Draft a version of your text or email in your own words, cut and paste it into ChatGPT, and ask it how to modify the message to match your client better. ChatGPT's response is likely to sound more like you.
You also can improve ChatGPT's capabilities by giving it several samples of your email and/or text writing style, along with the same for your client. This provides ChatGPT with a better sense of how to respond to the client without altering your personality.
Finally, ask ChatGPT for some general guidance. Ask it to compare your writing style with your client’s.
Provide this prompt:
“Here are a few samples of how I typically communicate. Compare these to the client’s communication style and suggest ways I can adjust my tone slightly to match theirs while staying authentic to myself.”
Sometimes, the smallest tweaks – getting rid of the emojis, skipping the "I hope this finds you well" – can dramatically improve how your message lands.
The bottom line
Just like you, AI can’t read your client’s mind. But ChatGPT can read their messages and suggest better ways to connect.
Good communication is key to long-term success in this business, and leveraging AI to decode personality is just like using a calculator to run the math.
And let’s be honest: We could all use a little help with that one client. You know who I mean. (-Kevin)
